When I talk about Dad as an actor I often say "You'll know him, he was in one of most of those series we remember The Saint, The Avengers, The Sweeney, Z-Cars, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Doctor Who, The Liverbirds and Last of the Summer Wine'

It has kept him alive in many people's minds and led to being able to catch repeats on the TV or purchase DVDs and as a consequence still earns repeat and royalty fees! Ever the breadwinner.

A favourite series of mine, as it resulted in our first family holiday - 10 days staying at a hotel in Barmouth on the Welsh coast - was The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in which he played the professor.
